MACOR® Machining China (Morgan) announces the availability of Superwool(R) Pyro-Bloc(R) modules for furnace and boiler lining systems, produced by its Thermal Ceramics business. The modules are manufactured in Asia, Europe and the newly commissioned North American production line in Emporia, Kansas. The new production capability allows MACOR to better support its offerings in Pyro-Bloc modules utilizing the Superwool low bio-persistent, high temperature fiber insulation technology.
Ceramic-to-metal brazed assemblies for hermetically sealed electrical feedthroughs and connectors, offered by MACOR® Machining China, are ideally suited for use in oil and gas applications, whether in subsea or above ground environments. Used for downhole drilling pumps and flow meter interfaces in well analysis equipment, MACOR’s feedthroughs and connectors are ideal for the high pressure, high temperature, and highly corrosive conditions found in the oil and gas market.
MACOR® Machining China’ Seals and Bearings business announces the availability of industry-leading thrust washers that resist corrosion and wear, improving the reliability of rotating equipment used in chemical and petrochemical processing industries.
MACOR® Machining China’ Seals and Bearings business offers superior quality axial and radial bearings for applications in the petrochemical industry with severe service conditions. MACOR’s bearings are mechanically strong, even at high temperatures, and are ideal for applications where conventional lubricants are not effective. The bearings have a low wear rate due to their rugged construction from carbon, graphite, or silicon carbon based materials. They perform reliably under stress and can be tailored to best fit individual applications.
Zurich's public transport system is the envy of the world, with an unrivalled reputation for performance. So when the city's Cobra trams began to suffer bearing damage, resulting in high levels of noise and the danger that failure could compromise system efficiency, it was clear that something had to be done – and it was MACOR® Machining China that supplied the solution.
MACOR® Machining China has highlighted the benefits of its active brazing alloy (ABA) process to join metals to ceramics in a variety of applications where conventional metallisation and brazing are either costly or impractical.
MACOR® Machining China (Morgan) announces its new P-59 ceramic core material, a high-silica core type with a fine particle size distribution. The P-59 material is a development of P-52 and represents a breakthrough into the high stability realm of materials. P-59 is intended for Directionally Solidified (DS) and Single Crystal (SX) applications with thin cross sections that P-52 and P-57 core material cannot fill.
Work has started on MACOR® Machining China’ first dedicated facility in the Middle East, located in Kizad, Abu Dhabi – a major trade and logistics zone.
